new baby boomers

I don't want this entry to seem like a judgment on those who this situation reflects a piece of their lives....but that's what I'm afraid of...the situation. I believe that life is a precious thing... Think about all the struggles and challenges that made you who you are today. Think about all the things you made it through that built your character, your core. Granted many people wouldn't change their experiences for the world, but would you willingly put another life through your own experiences? Or would you made sure they had better? ..or are you that selfish? These questions I encounter on a daily as I begin to be suffocated by those who made conscious choices...nothing is an accident.

If you are between the age of 22 and 30, you are in a group of what I call the new baby boomers I was speaking with a dear friend and I made a comment about how EVERYONE I know expecting. She coined the term. Again, I don't want to judge, but I have seen those that are close to me struggle with a new child...not that the child wasn't a blessing, but because of those struggles I witness.

We have to make a conscious choice and realize the result our actions bring. It may feel good for a moment, but in that moment your life could change forever. In that moment, you are forced to fill bigger shoes than you fit and you have to grow to fill them. Some people never fill them, but walk through life stumbling, tripping over their own feet. And if you are so lucky to grow to fill those shoes, it doesn't happen over night... Growth takes a person to accept the reality and implement a new wave of thinking. I observe too many individuals live with the notion that if I don't talk about it then it won't affect me or the people around me. Let's be real people. Let's wake up. We need to make that conscious choice that IF we choose to participate willingly that we must embrace the struggles as they may come. Or let's choose NOT to participate in this new movement and instead to focus on our to-do list with an ambitious lens... consciously we make that decision.

Do you choose to participate? And if you do...will you fill those shoes?

until,
